The program takes place up to twice a week on Mondays, Tuesdays, and/or Thursdays. Practices are from 6:00-7:30 pm. Games are from 6:30 – 8:00 pm at City Park (20200 County Road 50 | Corcoran, MN 55340), Hanover Elementary School (274 Labeaux Avenue | Hanover, MN), and Greenfield Park (7200 Greenfield Road | Greenfield, MN). Warm-ups for game days begin at 6:00 pm. Teams will have games against Corcoran Parks and Recreation teams as well as Hanover and Rockford Association teams. No games or practices take place on Memorial Day (Monday, May 26th).
Kids ages 8-10 years old are invited to participate in machine pitch through the City of Corcoran Parks and Recreation department. The program takes place up to twice a week on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 6:30 – 8:00 pm at City Park (20200 County Road 50 |Corcoran, MN 55340), Hanover Elementary School (274 Labeaux Avenue | Hanover, MN), and Greenfield Park (7200 Greenfield Road | Greenfield, MN). The ball is thrown using a machine operated by the coaches for a safe, consistent pitch. Teams will have games against Corcoran Parks and Recreation teams as well as Hanover and Rockford Association teams. A jamboree will also take place at towards the end of the season against Corcoran, Hanover, and Rockford teams.
Participants will be provided with a team jersey, pants, and hat. They should also bring a water bottle, baseball glove, and are encouraged to use their own bat and helmet to limit the sharing of equipment.
Volunteer coaches are needed for each team. Coaches will receive a registration refund at the end of the season for each team coached.
